19We traveled from Horeb and went through all that great and terrible wilderness which you saw, by the road to the hill country of the Amorites, as Yahweh our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh Barnea. 20I said to you, "You have come to the hill country of the Amorites, which Yahweh our God is giving to us. 21Look, Yahweh your God has set the land before you. Go up [there], take possession [of it], as Yahweh the God of your fathers has spoken to you. Don't be afraid, nor be dismayed." 22You came near to me, everyone of you, and said, "Let's send men ahead of us, that they may search the land for us, and bring back to us word of the way by which we must go up, and the cities which we'll come to."
23The thing pleased me well. I took twelve of your men, one man for every tribe. 24They turned and went up into the hill country, and came to the valley of Eshcol, and spied it out. 25They took [some] of the fruit of the land in their hands and brought it down to us, and brought us word again, and said, "It is a good land which Yahweh our God is giving to us."
26Yet you wouldn't go up, but rebelled against Yahweh your God's commandment. 27You murmured in your tents, and said, "Because Yahweh hated us, he has taken us from the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites to destroy us. 28Where are we going to? Our brothers have made our heart melt, saying, 'The people are greater and taller than we. The cities are great and fortified up to the sky. In addition we have seen the sons of the Anakim there!'"
29Then I said to you, "Don't be terrified. Dont be afraid of them. 30Yahweh your God, who goes before you, he will fight for you, exactly as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes, 31and in the wilderness where you have seen how Yahweh your God carried you, as a man carries his son, everywhere you went, until you came to this place."
32Yet in this thing you didn't believe Yahweh your God, 33who went before you on the journey, to seek out a place for you to pitch your tents in: in fire by night, to show you by what way you should go, and in the cloud by day.

8Therefore thus says LordOfMine Yahweh: "Behold, I will bring a sword on you, and will cut off man and animal from you. 9The land of Egypt shall be a desolation and a waste; and they shall know that I am Yahweh. Because he has said, 'The river is mine, and I have made it;' 10therefore, behold, I am against you, and against your rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt an utter waste and desolation, from the tower of Seveneh even to the border of Ethiopia. 11No foot of man shall pass through it. No animal feet will pass through. It won't be inhabited for forty years. 12I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the midst of the countries that are desolate; and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be a desolation forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries."
13For thus says LordOfMine Yahweh: "At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples where they were scattered; 14and I will bring back the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their birth; and they shall be there a base kingdom. 15It shall be the lowest of the kingdoms. It won't lift itself up above the nations any more. I will diminish them, that they will no longer rule over the nations. 16It shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing iniquity to memory, when they turn to look after them: and they shall know that I am LordOfMine Yahweh."'"
17It came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, in the first [month], in the first [day] of the month, the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, 18Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was worn; yet had he no wages, nor his army, from Tyre, for the service that he had served against it. 19Therefore thus says LordOfMine Yahweh: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he shall carry off her multitude, and take her plunder, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army. 20I have given him the land of Egypt as his recompense for which he served, because they worked for me, says LordOfMine Yahweh.
21In that day I will cause a horn to bud forth to the house of Israel, and I will give you the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.
1The word of Yahweh came again to me, saying, 2Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says LordOfMine Yahweh: Wail, Alas for the day! 3For the day is near, even the day of Yahweh is near; it shall be a day of clouds, a time of the nations. 4A sword shall come on Egypt, and anguish shall be in Ethiopia, when the slaughtered shall fall in Egypt; and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.
5Ethiopia, and Put, and Lud, and all the mixed people, and Cub, and the children of the land that is allied with them, shall fall with them by the sword.
6Thus says Yahweh: They also who uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Seveneh shall they fall in it by the sword, says LordOfMine Yahweh. 7They shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate; and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted. 8They shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and all her helpers are destroyed.
9In that day shall messengers go forth from before me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid; and there shall be anguish on them, as in the day of Egypt; for, behold, it comes.
10Thus says LordOfMine Yahweh: I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease, by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. 11He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought in to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slaughtered. 12I will make the rivers dry, and will sell the land into the hand of evil men; and I will make the land desolate, and all that is there, by the hand of strangers: I, Yahweh, have spoken it.

1But know this: that in the last days, grievous times will come. 2For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, not lovers of good, 4traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; 5holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also. 6For some of these are people who creep into houses and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7always learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8Even as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind, who concerning the faith are rejected. 9But they will proceed no further. For their folly will be evident to all men, as theirs also came to be.
10But you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, selfless-love, steadfastness, 11persecutions, and sufferings: those things that happened to me at Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. I endured those persecutions. The Lord delivered me out of them all. 12Yes, and all who desire to live godly in AnointedOne Jesus will suffer persecution. 13But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14But you remain in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them. 15From infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in AnointedOne Jesus. 16All Scripture is Godbreathed and useful; for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, 17that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
