Deuteronomy Chapter 32

¹⁰He found him in a desert land,
in the waste howling wilderness.
He surrounded him.
He cared for him.
He kept him as the apple of his eye.
¹¹As an eagle that stirs up her nest,
that flutters over her young,
he spread out his wings,
he took them,
he bore them on his feathers.
¹²Yahweh alone led him.
There was no foreign God with him.
¹³He made him ride on the high places of the earth.
He ate the increase of the field.
He caused him to suck honey out of the rock,
oil out of the flinty rock;
¹⁴butter from the herd, and milk from the flock,
with fat of lambs,
rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats,
with the finest of the wheat.
From the blood of the grape, you drank wine.
¹⁵But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked.
You have grown fat.
You have grown thick.
You have become sleek.
Then he abandoned God who made him,
and rejected the Rock of his salvation.
¹⁶They moved him to jealousy with strange [gods].
[They provoked him to] anger with abominations.
¹⁷They sacrificed to demons, not God,
to gods [that they] didn't know,
to new [gods] that came up recently,
which your fathers didn't dread.
¹⁸You've forgotten The Rock who bore you,
[yes, you have] forgotten God who gave you birth.
¹⁹Yahweh saw [it], and abhorred [them],
because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.
²⁰He said, "I will hide my face from them.
I will see what their end will be;
for they are a very perverse generation,
children in whom is no faithfulness.
²¹They have moved me to jealousy with what is not God.
They have provoked me to anger with their vanities.
I will move them to jealousy with those who are not a people.
I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
²²For a fire is kindled in my anger,
that burns to the depths of Sheol,
devours the earth with its produce,
and sets the foundations of the mountains on fire.

²³"I will heap evils on them.
I will spend my arrows on them.
²⁴[They'll be] wasted with hunger,
and devoured with burning heat and bitter destruction.
I will send the teeth of animals on them,
with the poison [of things that] crawl [in the] dust.
²⁵Outside the sword will bereave,
and in the rooms,
terror on both young man and virgin,
the nursing infant with the gray-haired man.

Zechariah Chapter 10

¹Ask of Yahweh rain in the spring time, Yahweh who makes storm clouds, and he gives rain showers to everyone for the plants in the field. ²For the teraphim have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie; and they have told false dreams. They comfort in vain. Therefore they go their way like sheep. They are oppressed, because there is no shepherd. ³My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the male goats; For Yahweh of Armies has visited his flock, the house of Judah, and will make them as his majestic horse in the battle. ⁴From him will come forth the cornerstone, from him the nail, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler together. ⁵They shall be as mighty men, treading down muddy streets in the battle; and they shall fight, because Yahweh is with them; and the riders on horses will be confounded. ⁶"I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back; for I have mercy on them; and they will be as though I had not rejected them. For I am Yahweh their God, and I will hear them. ⁷Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will rejoice as through wine; yes, their children will see it, and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in Yahweh. ⁸I will signal for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them; and they will increase as they have increased. ⁹I will sow them among the peoples; and they will remember me in far countries; and they will live with their children, and will return. ¹⁰I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and there won't be room enough for them. ¹¹He will pass through the sea of affliction, and will strike the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile will dry up; and the pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will depart. ¹²I will strengthen them in Yahweh; and they will walk up and down in his name," says Yahweh.

Zechariah Chapter 11

¹Open your doors, Lebanon, that the fire may devour your cedars. ²Wail, fir tree, for the cedar has fallen, because the stately ones are destroyed. Wail, you oaks of Bashan, for the strong forest has come down. ³A voice of the wailing of the shepherds! For their glory is destroyed: a voice of the roaring of young lions! For the pride of the Jordan is ruined.

⁴Thus says Yahweh my God: "Feed the flock of slaughter. ⁵Their buyers slaughter them, and go unpunished. Those who sell them say, 'Blessed be Yahweh, for I am rich;' and their own shepherds don't pity them. ⁶For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land," says Yahweh; "but, behold, I will deliver the men everyone into his neighbor's hand, and into the hand of his king. They will strike the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them."

⁷So I fed the flock of slaughter, especially the oppressed of the flock. I took for myself two staffs. The one I called "Favor," and the other I called "Union," and I fed the flock. ⁸I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me. ⁹Then I said, "I will not feed you. What dies, let it die; and what is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let those who are left eat each other's flesh." ¹⁰I took my staff Favor, and cut it apart, that I might break my covenant that I had made with all the peoples. ¹¹It was broken in that day; and thus the poor of the flock that listened to me knew that it was the word of Yahweh. ¹²I said to them, "If you think it best, give me my wages; and if not, keep them." So they weighed for my wages thirty pieces of silver. ¹³Yahweh said to me, "Throw it to the potter, the handsome price that I was valued at by them!" I took the thirty pieces of silver, and threw them to the potter, in the house of Yahweh.

Daniel Chapter 9

²⁶After the sixty-two weeks the anointed shall be cut off, and shall have nothing: and the people of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and its end shall be with a flood, and even to the end shall be war; desolations are determined. ²⁷He shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease; and on the wing of abominations [shall come] one who makes desolate; and even to the full end, and that determined, shall [wrath] be poured out on the desolate.

Daniel Chapter 10

¹In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, even a great warfare. He understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

²In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three whole weeks. ³I ate no pleasant food. No meat or wine came into my mouth. I didn't anoint myself at all, until three whole weeks were completed.

⁴In the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel, ⁵I lifted up my eyes, and looked, and behold, a man clothed in linen, whose thighs were adorned with pure gold of Uphaz: ⁶his body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as flaming torches, and his arms and his feet like burnished bronze, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.

⁷I, Daniel, alone saw the vision; for the men who were with me didn't see the vision; but a great quaking fell on them, and they fled to hide themselves. ⁸So I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me; for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. ⁹Yet heard I the voice of his words; and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I fallen into a deep sleep on my face, with my face toward the ground.

¹⁰Behold, a hand touched me, which set me on my knees and on the palms of my hands. ¹¹He said to me, Daniel, you man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright; for am I now sent to you. When he had spoken this word to me, I stood trembling.

¹²Then he said to me, Don't be afraid, Daniel; for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard: and I have come for your words' sake. ¹³But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; but, behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me: and I remained there with the kings of Persia. ¹⁴Now I have come to make you understand what shall happen to your people in the latter days; for the vision is yet for [many] days:

Revelation Chapter 18

¹⁷For in an hour such great riches are made desolate.' Every shipmaster, and everyone who sails anywhere, and mariners, and as many as gain their living by sea, stood far away, ¹⁸and cried out as they looked at the smoke of her burning, saying, 'What is like the great city?' ¹⁹They threw dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and mourning, saying, 'Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who had their ships in the sea were made rich by reason of her great wealth!' For in one hour she is made desolate.

²⁰"Rejoice over her, O heaven, you saints, ambassadors, and prophets; for God has judged your judgment on her."

²¹A mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "Thus with violence will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down, and will be found no more at all. ²²The voice of harpists, minstrels, flute players, and trumpeters will be heard no more at all in you. No craftsman, of whatever craft, will be found any more at all in you. The sound of a mill will be heard no more at all in you. ²³The light of a lamp will shine no more at all in you. The voice of the bridegroom and of the bride will be heard no more at all in you; for your merchants were the princes of the earth; for with your sorcery all the nations were deceived. ²⁴In her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slaughtered on the earth."

Revelation Chapter 19

¹After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Hallelujah! Salvation, power, and glory belong to our God. ²For true and righteous are his judgments. For he has judged the great prostitute, who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and he has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand."

³A second said, "Hallelujah! Her smoke goes up forever and ever." ⁴The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne, saying, "Absolutely! Hallelujah!"

⁵A voice came from the throne, saying, "Give praise to our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, the small and the great!"

⁶I heard something like the voice of a great multitude, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thunders, saying, "Hallelujah! For ForeverOne our God, the Almighty, reigns! ⁷Let us rejoice and be exceedingly glad, and let us give the glory to him. For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready." ⁸It was given to her that she would array herself in bright, pure, fine linen: for the fine linen is the righteous-acts of the saints.

⁹He said to me, "Write, 'Happier are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb.'" He said to me, "These are true words of God."

¹⁰I fell down before his feet to worship him. He said to me, "Look! Don't do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy."
