17"'If a man takes his sister- his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter- and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness, it is a shameful thing. They shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people. He has uncovered his sister's nakedness. He shall bear his iniquity.
18"'If a man lies with a woman having her monthly period, and uncovers her nakedness, he has made her fountain naked, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood. Both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
19"'Don't uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister, nor of your father's sister, for he has made his close relative naked. They shall bear their iniquity. 20If a man lies with his uncle's wife, he has uncovered his uncle's nakedness. They shall bear their sin. They shall die childless.
21"'If a man haves his brother's wife, it is an impurity. He has uncovered his brother's nakedness. They shall be childless.
22"'Therefore keep all my statutes and all my ordinances, and do them, so that the land where I am bringing you to live won't vomit you out. 23Don't walk in the customs of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them. 24But I have said to you, "You will inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey." I am Yahweh your God, who has separated you from the peoples.
25"'You must therefore make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean. You mustn't make yourselves abominable by animal, or by bird, or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have separated from you as unclean to you. 26Be holy to me, for I, Yahweh, am holy, and have set you apart from other peoples, so that you would be mine.
27"'A man or a woman that is a medium or is a wizard shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones. Their blood shall be upon themselves.'"

By David.
1To you, Yahweh, do I lift up my soul. 2My God, I have trusted in you. Don't let me be shamed. Don't let my enemies triumph over me. 3Yes, no one who waits for you shall be shamed. They shall be shamed who deal treacherously without cause. 4Show me your ways, Yahweh. Teach me your paths. 5Guide me in your truth, and teach me, For you are the God of my salvation, I wait for you all day long. 6Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness, for they are from old times. 7Don't remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. Remember me according to your loving kindness, for your goodness's sake, Yahweh. 8Good and upright is Yahweh, therefore he will instruct sinners in the way. 9He will guide the humble in justice. He will teach the humble his way. 10All the paths of Yahweh are loving kindness and truth to those who keep his covenant and his testimonies. 11For your name's sake, Yahweh, pardon my iniquity, for it is great. 12What man is he who fears Yahweh? He shall instruct him in the way that he shall choose. 13His soul shall dwell at ease. His offspring shall inherit the land. 14The friendship of Yahweh is with those who fear him. He will show them his covenant. 15My eyes are ever on Yahweh, for he will pluck my feet out of the net. 16Turn to me, and have mercy on me, for I am desolate and afflicted. 17The troubles of my heart are enlarged. Oh bring me out of my distresses. 18Consider my affliction and my travail. Forgive all my sins. 19Consider my enemies, for they are many. They hate me with cruel hatred. 20Oh keep my soul, and deliver me. Let me not be disappointed, for I take refuge in you. 21Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you. 22Redeem Israel, God, out all of his troubles.

13But we, going ahead to the ship, set sail for Assos, intending to take Paul aboard there; for he had so arranged, intending himself to go by land. 14When he met us at Assos, we took him aboard, and came to Mitylene. 15Sailing from there, we came the following day opposite Chios. The next day we touched at Samos and stayed at Trogyllium, and the day after we came to Miletus. 16For Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to be in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
17From Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called to himself the elders of the assembly. 18When they had come to him, he said to them, "You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time, 19serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears, and with testing which happened to me by the plots of the Jews; 20how I didn't shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house, 21testifying both to Jews and to Gentiles repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus. 22Now, behold, I go bound by the Spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there; 23except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me. 24But these things don't count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.
25"Now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I went about preaching God's Kingdom, will see my face no more. 26So I testify to you today that I am clean from the blood of all men, 27for I didn't shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God. 28Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which he purchased with his own blood. 29For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30Men will arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them. 31So watch, remembering that for a period of three years I didn't cease to admonish everyone night and day with tears. 32Now, brothers, I entrust you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up, and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
