Leviticus Chapter 5

¹⁴Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, ¹⁵"If anyone commits a trespass, and sins unwittingly regarding Yahweh's holy things, then he shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh: a ram without defect from the flock, according to your estimation in silver by shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering. ¹⁶He shall make restitution for what he has done wrong regarding the holy thing, and shall add a fifth to it, and give it to the priest; and the priest is to make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and he will be forgiven.

¹⁷"If anyone sins, doing any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, though he didn't know it, he is still guilty, and shall bear his iniquity. ¹⁸He shall bring a ram without defect from the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass offering, to the priest; and the priest is to make atonement for him concerning what he sinned in but didn't know it, and he will be forgiven. ¹⁹It is a trespass offering. He is certainly guilty in Yahweh's presence."

Leviticus Chapter 6

¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, ²"If anyone sins, and commits a trespass against Yahweh, and deals falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or bargain, or robbery, or has oppressed his neighbor, ³or has found what was lost, and lied about it, and swearing to a lie- in any of these things that a man sins in his actions- ⁴then it shall be, if he has sinned, and is guilty, he shall restore what he took by robbery, or the thing which he has obtained by oppression, or the deposit which was committed to him, or the lost thing which he found, ⁵or any thing about which he has sworn falsely: he shall restore it In full, and shall add a fifth more to it. He shall return it to him to whom it belongs in the day of his being found guilty. ⁶He shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh: a ram without defect from the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass offering, to the priest. ⁷The priest is to make atonement for him in Yahweh's presence, and he will be forgiven concerning whatever he does to become guilty."

Isaiah Chapter 2

¹This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
²In the latter days the mountain of Yahweh's house will be established on the top of the mountains,
and will be raised above the hills;
and all nations will flow to it.
³Many peoples will go and say,
"Come, let's go up to the mountain of Yahweh,
to the house of the God of Jacob;
and he will teach us of his ways,
and we will walk in his paths."
For the law will go out of Zion,
and ForeverOne's word from Jerusalem.
⁴He will judge between the nations,
and will decide concerning many peoples.
They'll beat their swords into plowshares,
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation won't lift up sword against nation,
nor will they learn war any more. ⁵House of Jacob, come, and let's walk in the light of Yahweh.
⁶For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob,
because they are filled from the east,
with those who practice divination like the Philistines,
and they clasp hands with the children of foreigners.
⁷Their land is full of silver and gold,
neither is there any end of their treasures.
Their land also is full of horses,
neither is there any end of their chariots.
⁸Their land also is full of idols.
They worship the work of their own hands,
that which their own fingers have made.
⁹Man is brought low,
and mankind is humbled;
therefore don't forgive them.
¹⁰Enter into the rock,
and hide in the dust,
from before the terror of Yahweh,
and from the glory of his majesty.
¹¹The lofty looks of man will be brought low,
the haughtiness of men will be bowed down,
and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day. ¹²For there will be a day of Yahweh of Armies for all that is proud and haughty,
and for all that is lifted up,
and it shall be brought low-
¹³for all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up,
for all the oaks of Bashan,
¹⁴for all the high mountains,
for all the hills that are lifted up,
¹⁵for every lofty tower,
for every fortified wall,
¹⁶for all the ships of Tarshish,
and for all pleasant imagery.
¹⁷The loftiness of man will be bowed down,
and the haughtiness of men will be brought low;
and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day.
¹⁸The idols will completely pass away.
¹⁹People will go into the caves of the rocks,
and into the burrows of the earth,
from Yahweh's terror,
and from the glory of his majesty,
when he arises to shake the earth mightily.
²⁰In that day, men will throw away their idols of silver
and their idols of gold,
which have been made for themselves to worship,
to the moles and to the bats,
²¹to go into the caverns of the rocks,
and into the clefts of the ragged rocks,
from Yahweh's terror,
and from the glory of his majesty,
when he arises to shake the earth mightily.
²²Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils;
for of what account is he?

Isaiah Chapter 3

Job Chapter 23

¹Then Job answered,

²"Even today my complaint is rebellious. His hand is heavy in spite of my groaning. ³Oh that I knew where I might find him! That I might come even to his seat! ⁴I would set my cause in order before him, and fill my mouth with arguments. ⁵I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would tell me. ⁶Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? No, but he would listen to me. ⁷There the upright might reason with him, so I should be delivered forever from my judge.

⁸"If I go east, he is not there; if west, I can't find him; ⁹He works to the north, but I can't see him. He turns south, but I can't catch a glimpse of him. ¹⁰But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I shall become like gold. ¹¹My foot has held fast to his steps. I have kept his way, and not turned aside. ¹²I haven't gone back from the commandment of his lips. I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. ¹³But he stands alone, and who can oppose him? What his soul desires, even that he does. ¹⁴For he performs what is appointed for me. Many such things are with him. ¹⁵Therefore I am terrified at his presence. When I consider, I am afraid of him. ¹⁶For God has made my heart faint. The Almighty has terrified me. ¹⁷Because I was not cut off before the darkness, nor did he cover the thick darkness from my face.

Job Chapter 24

¹"Why aren't times laid up by the Almighty? Why don't those who know him see his days? ²There are people who remove the landmarks. They violently take away flocks, and feed them. ³They drive away the donkey of the fatherless, and they take the widow's ox for a pledge. ⁴They turn the needy out of the way. The poor of the earth all hide themselves. ⁵Behold, as wild donkeys in the desert, they go out to their work, seeking diligently for food. The wilderness yields them bread for their children. ⁶They cut their food in the field.
They glean the vineyard of the wicked.
⁷They lie all night naked without clothing, and have no covering in the cold. ⁸They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for lack of a shelter.

Acts Chapter 2

³⁷Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the ambassadors, "Brothers, what shall we do?"

³⁸Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus AnointedOne for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far off, even as many as ForeverOne our God will call to himself." ⁴⁰With many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, "Save yourselves from this crooked generation!"

⁴¹Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls. ⁴²They continued steadfastly in the ambassadors' teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer. ⁴³Fear came on every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the ambassadors. ⁴⁴All who believed were together, and had all things in common. ⁴⁵They sold their possessions and goods, and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need. ⁴⁶Day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart, ⁴⁷praising God, and having favor with all the people. ForeverOne added to the assembly day by day those who were being saved.

Acts Chapter 3

¹Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. ²A certain man who was lame from his mother's womb was being carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask gifts for the needy of those who entered into the temple. ³Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy. ⁴Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, "Look at us." ⁵He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them. ⁶But Peter said, "I have no silver or gold, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus AnointedOne of Nazareth, get up and walk!" ⁷He took him by the right hand and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength. ⁸Leaping up, he stood and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God. ⁹All the people saw him walking and praising God. ¹⁰They recognized him, that it was he who used to sit begging for gifts for the needy at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. ¹¹As the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
