Numbers Chapter 4

⁴"This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the Tent of Meeting, regarding the most holy things. ⁵When the camp moves forward, Aaron is to go in with his sons; and they are to take down the veil of the screen, cover the ark of the Testimony with it, ⁶put a covering of sealskin on it, spread a blue cloth over it, and put in its poles.

⁷"They should spread a blue cloth on the show table and put on it the dishes, the spoons, the bowls, and the cups for pouring; and the continual bread should be on it. ⁸They should spread on them a scarlet cloth, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and put in its poles.

⁹"They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand of the light, its lamps, its snuffers, its snuff dishes, and all its oil vessels, [for the] ministry. ¹⁰They are to put it and all its vessels within a covering of sealskin, and put it on the frame.

¹¹"On the golden altar they are to spread a blue cloth, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and put in its poles.

¹²"They are to take all the vessels of ministry that they minister with in the sanctuary, and put them in a blue cloth, cover them with a covering of sealskin, and put them on the frame.

¹³"They should remove the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it. ¹⁴They are to put on it all the vessels with which they minister around it- the fire pans, the meathooks, the shovels, and the basins- all the vessels of the altar; and they are to spread on it a covering of sealskin, and put in its poles.

¹⁵"When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp moves forward; after that, the sons of Kohath are to come to carry it; but they must not touch the sanctuary, otherwise they would die. The sons of Kohath are to carry these things belonging to the Tent of Meeting.

¹⁶"The responsibilities of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest are to be the oil for the light, the sweet incense, the continual meal offering, the anointing oil, the requirements of all the tabernacle, and of all that is in it, the sanctuary, and its furnishings."

Jeremiah Chapter 11

¹⁴Therefore don't pray for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them; for I will not hear them in the time that they cry to me because of their trouble. ¹⁵What has my beloved to do in my house, since she has worked lewdness [with] many, and the holy flesh is passed from you? when you do evil, then you rejoice. ¹⁶Yahweh called your name, A green olive tree, beautiful with fine fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he has kindled fire on it, and its branches are broken. ¹⁷For Yahweh of Armies, who planted you, has pronounced evil against you, because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have worked for themselves in provoking me to anger by offering incense to Baal.

¹⁸Yahweh gave me knowledge of it, and I knew it: then you showed me their actions. ¹⁹But I was like a gentle lamb that is led to the slaughter; and I didn't know that they had devised devices against me, [saying], Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered. ²⁰But, Yahweh of Armies, who judges righteously, who tests the heart and the mind, I shall see your vengeance on them; for to you have I revealed my cause.

²¹Therefore Yahweh says concerning the men of Anathoth, who seek your life, saying, You shall not prophesy in the name of Yahweh, that you not die by our hand; ²²therefore Yahweh of Armies says, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine; ²³and there shall be no remnant to them: for I will bring evil on the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.

Jeremiah Chapter 12

¹You are righteous, Yahweh, when I contend with you; yet I would reason the cause with you: why does the way of the wicked prosper? why are all they at ease who deal very treacherously? ²You have planted them, yes, they have taken root; they grow, yes, they produce fruit: you are near in their mouth, and far from their heart. ³But you, Yahweh, know me; you see me, and try my heart toward you: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter. ⁴How long shall the land mourn, and the plants of the whole country wither? for the wickedness of those who dwell in it, the animals are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our latter end. ⁵If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? and though in a land of peace you are secure, yet how will you do in the pride of the Jordan? ⁶For even your brothers, and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you; even they have cried aloud after you: don't believe them, though they speak beautiful words to you. ⁷I have forsaken my house, I have abandoned my heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies. ⁸My heritage has become to me as a lion in the forest: she has uttered her voice against me; therefore I have hated her. ⁹Is my heritage to me as a speckled bird of prey? are the birds of prey against her all around? Go, assemble all the animals of the field, bring them to devour. ¹⁰Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. ¹¹They have made it a desolation; it mourns to me, being desolate; the whole land is made desolate, because no man lays it to heart. ¹²Destroyers have come on all the bare heights in the wilderness; for the sword of Yahweh devours from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh has peace. ¹³They have sown wheat, and have reaped thorns; they have put themselves to pain, and profit nothing: and you shall be ashamed of your fruits, because of the fierce anger of Yahweh.

Psalm 66

¹Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
²Sing to the glory of his name!
Offer glory and praise!
³Tell God, "How awesome are your deeds!
Through the greatness of your power, your enemies submit themselves to you.
⁴All the earth will worship you,
and will sing to you;
they will sing to your name."

⁵Come, and see God's deeds-
awesome work on behalf of the children of men.
⁶He turned the sea into dry land.
They went through the river on foot.
There, we rejoiced in him.
⁷He rules by his might forever.
His eyes watch the nations.
Don't let the rebellious rise up against him.

⁸Praise our God, you peoples!
Make the sound of his praise heard,
⁹who preserves our life among the living,
and doesn't allow our feet to be moved.
¹⁰For you, God, have tested us.
You have refined us, as silver is refined.
¹¹You brought us into prison.
You laid a burden on our backs.
¹²You allowed men to ride over our heads.
We went through fire and through water,
but you brought us to the place of abundance.
¹³I will enter your temple with burnt offerings.
I will pay my vows to you, ¹⁴which my lips promised,
and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress.
¹⁵I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat animals,
with the offering of rams,
I will offer bulls with goats.

I will declare what he has done for my soul.

He was extolled with my tongue.
¹⁸If I cherished sin in my heart,
LordOfMine wouldn't have listened.

He has heard the voice of my prayer.
²⁰Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer,
nor his loving kindness from me.

Romans Chapter 9

²⁹As Isaiah has said before,
"Unless ForeverOne of Armies had left us a seed,
we would have become like Sodom,
and would have been made like Gomorrah."

³⁰What are we to say then? That the Gentiles, who didn't pursue righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith; ³¹but Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, didn't arrive at that law. ³²Why? Because they didn't seek it by faith, but as it were by actions of the law. They stumbled over the stumbling stone, ³³even as it is written,
"See, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and a rock of offense;
and no one who believes in him will be disappointed."

Romans Chapter 10

¹Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved. ²For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. ³For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn't subject themselves to the righteousness of God. ⁴For AnointedOne is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

⁵For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law, "The person who does them will live by them." ⁶But the righteousness which is of faith says this, "Don't say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?' (that is, to bring AnointedOne down); ⁷or, 'Who will descend into the abyss?' (that is, to bring AnointedOne up from the dead.)" ⁸But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart;" that is, the word of faith which we preach: ⁹that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ¹⁰For with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. ¹¹For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed."

¹²For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile for he is Lord of all, making all who call on him rich. ¹³For, "All who call on the name of ForeverOne will be saved." ¹⁴So how will they call on [someone] they don't trust? And how will they trust [someone] they've never heard of? How will they hear without someone preaching [to them]? ¹⁵And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
"How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace,
who bring glad tidings of good things!"
