21Eleazar the priest said to the men of war who went to the battle, "This is the statute of the law which Yahweh has commanded Moses. 22However the gold, and the silver, the bronze, the iron, the tin, and the lead, 23everything that can withstand fire, you are to put through fire, and it'll be clean; nevertheless it should be purified with water for impurity. Make anything that can't withstand fire go through water. 24Wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you'll be clean. Afterward you may enter the camp."
25Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 26"Count the plunder that was taken, both of man and of animal, you, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers' [households] of the congregation; 27and divide the plunder into two parts: between the men skilled in war, who went out to battle, and all the congregation. 28Levy a tribute to Yahweh of the men of war who went out to battle: one soul of five hundred; of the people, of the cattle, of the donkeys, and of the flocks. 29take it from their half, and give it to Eleazar the priest, for Yahweh's wave offering. 30From the children of Israel's half, take one drawn from every fifty, from the people, from the cattle, from the donkeys, and from the flocks, from all the livestock, and give them to the Levites, who perform the duty of Yahweh's tabernacle."
31Moses and Eleazar the priest did as Yahweh commanded Moses.

22Thus says LordOfMine Yahweh: I will also take of the lofty top of the cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and I will plant it on a high and lofty mountain: 23in the mountain of the height of Israel I will plant it; and it shall produce boughs, and bear fruit, and be a fine cedar: and under it shall dwell all birds of every wing; in the shade of its branches shall they dwell. 24All the trees of the field shall know that I, Yahweh, have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish; I, Yahweh, have spoken and have done it.
1The word of Yahweh came to me again, saying, 2What do you mean, that you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?
3As I live, says LordOfMine Yahweh, you shall not have [occasion] any more to use this proverb in Israel. 4Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins, he shall die. 5But if a man is just, and does what is lawful and right, 6and has not eaten on the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither has defiled his neighbor's wife, neither has come near to a woman in her impurity, 7and has not wronged any, but has restored to the debtor his pledge, has taken nothing by robbery, has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment; 8he who has not given forth on interest, neither has taken any increase, who has withdrawn his hand from iniquity, has executed true justice between man and man, 9has walked in my statutes, and has kept my ordinances, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, says LordOfMine Yahweh.
10If he fathers a son who is a robber, a shedder of blood, and who does any one of these things, 11and who does not any of those [duties], but even has eaten on the mountains, and defiled his neighbor's wife, 12has wronged the poor and needy, has taken by robbery, has not restored the pledge, and has lifted up his eyes to the idols, has committed abomination, 13has given forth on interest, and has taken increase; shall he then live? he shall not live: he has done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be on him.
14Now, behold, if he fathers a son, who sees all his father's sins, which he has done, and fears, and does not such like; 15who has not eaten on the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, has not defiled his neighbor's wife, 16neither has wronged any, has not taken anything to pledge, neither has taken by robbery, but has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment; 17who has withdrawn his hand from the poor, who has not received interest nor increase, has executed my ordinances, has walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live. 18As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, robbed his brother, and did what is not good among his people, behold, he shall die in his iniquity.
19Yet you say, Why doesn't the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son has done what is lawful and right, and has kept all my statutes, and has done them, he shall surely live. 20The soul who sins, he shall die: the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, nor will the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him.
21But if the wicked turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all my statutes, and do what is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. 22None of his transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him: in his righteousness that he has done he shall live. 23Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? says LordOfMine Yahweh; and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?

1Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus AnointedOne: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus AnointedOne.
2We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers, 3remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of selfless-love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus AnointedOne, before our God and Father. 4We know, brothers selflessly-loved by God, that you are chosen, 5and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake. 6You became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit, 7so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia. 8For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we needn't say anything. 9For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you, and how you turned to God from idols, to serve a living and true God, 10and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead: Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.
1For you yourselves know, brothers, our visit to you wasn't in vain, 2but having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we grew bold in our God to tell you the Good News of God in much conflict. 3For our exhortation is not of error, nor of uncleanness, nor in deception. 4But even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News, so we speak: not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts. 5For neither were we at any time found using words of flattery, as you know, nor a cloak of covetousness (God is witness), 6nor seeking glory from men (neither from you nor from others), when we might have claimed authority as ambassadors of AnointedOne. 7But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother cherishes her own children.
8Even so, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you, not the Good News of God only, but also our own souls, because you had become very dear to us. 9For you remember, brothers, our labor and travail; for working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached to you the Good News of God. 10You are witnesses with God how holy, righteously, and blamelessly we behaved ourselves toward you who believe. 11As you know, we exhorted, comforted, and implored every one of you, as a father does his own children, 12to the end that you should walk worthily of God, who calls you into his own Kingdom and glory.
