20 verses
26Make bars of acacia wood. Five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle, 27and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the far side on the west. 28The middle bar in the middle of the boards is to pass through from end to end. 29Overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars. Overlay the bars with gold. 30Set up the tabernacle according to the way that was shown to you on the mountain.
31Make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, with throne-angels. Let it be made by the work of a skillful workman. 32Hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold; their hooks are to be of gold, on four sockets of silver. 33Hang the veil under the clasps, and bring the ark of the testimony in there within the veil. The veil will separate the holy place from the most holy for you. 34Put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the most holy place. 35Set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand opposite the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south. Put the table on the north side.
36Make a screen for the door of the Tent, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of an embroiderer. 37Make five pillars of acacia for the screen, and overlay them with gold. Their hooks will be of gold. Cast five sockets of bronze for them.
1Make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits long, and five cubits wide. The altar will be square. Its height will be three cubits. 2Make its horns on its four corners. Its horns are to be of one piece with it. Overlay it with bronze. 3Make the pots to take away its ashes; and its shovels, basins, flesh hooks, and its fire pans. Make all its vessels of bronze. 4Make a grating for it of network of bronze. On the net make four bronze rings in its four corners. 5Put it under the ledge around the altar beneath, that the net may reach halfway up the altar. 6Make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze. 7Put its poles into the rings. The poles are to be on the two sides of the altar when carrying it. 8Make it hollow with planks. Let them make it as it has been shown you on the mountain.

1Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. 2Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, "So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I don't make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time!"
3When he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there. 4But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree. He requested for himself that he might die, and said, "It is enough. Now, O Yahweh, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers."
5He lay down and slept under a juniper tree; and behold, an angel touched him, and said to him, "Arise and eat!"
6He looked, and behold, there was at his head a cake baked on the coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank, and laid down again. 7The angel of Yahweh came again the second time, and touched him, and said, "Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you."
8He arose, and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb the Mount of God. 9He came there to a cave, and lodged there; and behold, the word of Yahweh came to him, and he said to him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
10He said, "I have been very jealous for Yahweh, the God of Armies; for the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and slaughtered your prophets with the sword. I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away."
11He said, "Go out, and stand on the mountain before Yahweh." Behold, Yahweh passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before Yahweh; but Yahweh was not in the wind. After the wind an earthquake; but Yahweh was not in the earthquake. 12After the earthquake a fire passed; but Yahweh was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. 13When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entrance of the cave. Behold, a voice came to him, and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
14He said, "I have been very jealous for Yahweh, the God of Armies; for the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and slaughtered your prophets with the sword. I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away."
15Yahweh said to him, "Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus. When you arrive, you shall anoint Hazael to be king over Syria. 16You shall anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi to be king over Israel; and you shall anoint Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah to be prophet in your place. 17He who escapes from the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and he who escapes from the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill. 18Yet I kept seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees haven't bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him."
19So he left there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing, with twelve yoke [of oxen] before him, and he with the twelfth. Elijah passed over to him, and put his mantle on him. 20He left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, "Let me please kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you." He said to him, "Go back again; for what have I done to you?"
21He returned from following him, and took the yoke of oxen, and killed them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave to the people, and they ate. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and served him.

15Of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni; 16and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chiefs of the Levites, who had the oversight of the outward business of God's house; 17and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, who was the chief to begin the thanksgiving in prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brothers; and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun. 18All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred eighty-four.
19Moreover the gatekeepers, Akkub, Talmon, and their brothers, who kept watch at the gates, were one hundred seventy-two. 20The residue of Israel, of the priests, and the Levites were in all the cities of Judah, everyone in his inheritance. 21But the temple servants lived in Ophel; and Ziha and Gishpa were over the temple servants.
22The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers responsible for the work of God's house. 23For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required. 24Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king's hand in all matters concerning the people.
25As for the villages with their fields, some of the children of Judah lived in Kiriath Arba and its towns, in Dibon and its towns, in Jekabzeel and its villages, 26in Jeshua, in Moladah, Beth Pelet, 27in Hazar Shual, in Beersheba and its towns, 28in Ziklag, in Meconah and in its towns, 29in En Rimmon, in Zorah, in Jarmuth, 30Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and its fields, and Azekah and its towns. So they encamped from Beersheba to the valley of Hinnom. 31The children of Benjamin also [lived] from Geba [onward], at Michmash and Aija, and at Bethel and its towns, 32at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah, 33Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim, 34Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat, 35Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen. 36Of the Levites, certain divisions in Judah [settled] in Benjamin's [territory].

22After these things, Jesus came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them and baptized. 23John also was baptizing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came, and were baptized; 24for John was not yet thrown into prison. 25So a dispute arose on the part of John's disciples with some Jews about purification. 26They came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he baptizes, and everyone is coming to him."
27John answered, "A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven. 28You yourselves testify that I said, 'I am not AnointedOne,' but, 'I have been sent before him.' 29He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. So this, my joy, is made full. 30He must increase, but I must decrease.
31He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. 32What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness. 33He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true. 34For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure. 35The Father selflessly-loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. 36One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won't see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."
1So when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John 2(although Jesus himself didn't baptize, but his disciples did), 3he left Judea and departed into Galilee. 4He needed to pass through Samaria. 5So he came to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son, Joseph. 6Jacob's well was there. So Jesus, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
7A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give me a drink." 8For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
9So the Samaritan woman said to him, "How is it that you, being a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
10Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water."
