10When Yahweh your God brings you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, great and fine cities which you didn't build, 11houses full of all good things which you didn't fill, cisterns dug out which you didn't dig, vineyards and olive trees which you didn't plant, and you'll eat and be full; 12then beware lest you forget Yahweh, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. 13Fear Yahweh your God, serve him, and swear by his name. 14Don't go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you, 15for Yahweh your God among you is a jealous God, for fear that Yahweh your God's anger be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth. 16Don't tempt Yahweh your God, as you tempted him in Massah. 17Diligently keep Yahweh your God's commandments, his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you. 18Do what is right and good in Yahweh's sight, so that it may be well with you and that you may go in and possess the good land which Yahweh swore to [give] your fathers, 19to thrust out all your enemies from before you, as Yahweh has said.
20When your son asks you in time to come, saying, "What do the testimonies, the statutes, and the ordinances mean which Yahweh our God has commanded you?" 21then tell your son, "We were Pharaoh's slaves in Egypt. Yahweh brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand; 22and Yahweh showed great and awesome signs and wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our [very] eyes; 23and he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore [to give] to our fathers. 24Yahweh commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Yahweh our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are today. 25It will be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all these commandments before Yahweh our God, as he has commanded us."

20The gate of the outer court whose prospect is toward the north, he measured its length and its width. 21The lodges of it were three on this side and three on that side; and its posts and its arches were after the measure of the first gate: its length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits. 22The windows of it, and its arches, and the palm trees of it, were after the measure of the gate whose prospect is toward the east; and they went up to it by seven steps; and its arches were before them. 23There was a gate to the inner court over against the [other] gate, [both] on the north and on the east; and he measured from gate to gate one hundred cubits.
24He led me toward the south; and behold, a gate toward the south. He measured its posts and its arches according to these measures. 25There were windows in it and in its arches all around, like those windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits. 26There were seven steps to go up to it, and its arches were before them; and it had palm trees, one on this side, and another on that side, on its posts. 27There was a gate to the inner court toward the south. He measured from gate to gate toward the south a hundred cubits.
28Then he brought me to the inner court by the south gate. He measured the south gate according to these measures; 29and its lodges, and its posts, and its arches, according to these measures: and there were windows in it and in its arches all around; it was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide. 30There were arches all around, twenty-five cubits long, and five cubits wide. 31The arches of it were toward the outer court; and palm trees were on its posts: and the ascent to it had eight steps.
32He brought me into the inner court toward the east. He measured the gate according to these measures; 33and its lodges, and its posts, and its arches, according to these measures: and there were windows in it and in its arches all around; it was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide. 34The arches of it were toward the outer court; and palm trees were on its posts, on this side, and on that side: and the ascent to it had eight steps.
35He brought me to the north gate. He measured [it] according to these measures; 36its lodges, its posts, and its arches: and there were windows in it all around; the length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits. 37The posts of it were toward the outer court; and palm trees were on its posts, on this side, and on that side: and the ascent to it had eight steps.
38A room with its door was by the posts at the gates; there they washed the burnt offering. 39In the porch of the gate were two tables on one side and two tables on the other, [where] the burnt offering, the sin offering and the trespass offering [are to be] killed. 40On the [one] side outside, as one goes up to the entry of the gate toward the north, were two tables; and on the other side, which belonged to the porch of the gate, were two tables. 41Four tables were on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate; eight tables, whereupon they killed [the sacrifices]. 42There were four tables for the burnt offering, of cut stone, a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half wide, and one cubit high; whereupon they laid the instruments with which they killed the burnt offering and the sacrifice. 43The hooks, a hand width long, were fastened within all around: and on the tables was the flesh of the offering.

11But AnointedOne having come as a high priest of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, 12nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption. 13For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh, 14how much more will the blood of AnointedOne, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead actions to serve the living God? 15For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 16For where a last will and testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him who made it. 17For a will is in force where there has been death, for it is never in force while he who made it lives. 18Therefore even the first covenant has not been dedicated without blood. 19For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20saying, "This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you."
21Moreover he sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry in the same way with the blood. 22According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
23So it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24For AnointedOne hasn't entered into holy places made with hands, which are representations of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place year by year with blood not his own, 26or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment, 28so AnointedOne also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, to those who are eagerly-expecting him [*for salvation].
