The Bible
Psalm 23
A Psalm by David.
1Yahweh is my shepherd;
I have all I need.
2I stretch out in lush pastures.
I'm guided by restful waters.
3You refresh my life.
You guide me on tracks of righteousness because of your name.
4Even though I go through death-shadow valley,
I fear no harm, for you're with me.
Your sceptre and your staff,
they console me.
5You prepare a table in front of me,
facing my enemies.
You enrich my head with oil.
My cup overflows.
6Truly goodness and loving-kindness pursue me every day of my life,
and I'll return to Yahweh's house all my days.
